Country singer Mindy McCready will voluntarily surrender to authorities Tuesday to serve 60 days in a Tennessee jail for a probation violation, her rep confirms to People Magazine. Poor Mindy, when will she ever learn? Read more after the bump.

Mindy McCready, 32, a country singer is headed back to jail again! McCready was arrested for violating her probation for prescription drug fraud back in June.

“I am working very hard to put all of this behind me as quickly as possible so I can get back to what I like to do most: sing, write songs, and entertain,” said McCready in a statement Monday morning.

Mindy McCready has so many fans pulling for her, but can’t seem to keep on the right track. The singer entered rehab July 16th for undisclosed reasons, and was jailed in 2007 for probation violation on a 2004 drug arrest.

McCready said in a statement: “I would like to thank my fans for their unwavering support as I continue to work on my recovery and to regain custody of my precious son, Zander.”

Although not a huge country fan, we are all pulling for Mindy McCready to get her life back on track. If not for herself, at least for her young son, Zander.

Dupri had a wonderful time on his 36th birthday. Jermaine Dupri and Janet Jackson hung out at Tenjune, where they drank bottles of Jay-Z’s Ace of Spades Champagne. Add to this some Patron tequila with friends Ne-Yo, Busta Rhymes, and Ice-T. Ouch!

A source told the New York Post newspaper: “Jermaine was doing really well, but then he looked a bit funny. He leaned over and vomited in Janet’s lap. Janet squealed before bolting out of the scene and speeding off in her chauffeured Maybach car.”

Jermaine recently revealed the secret behind his successful relationship with 42-year-old Janet.

He explained: “The greatest thing in life is just to have a friend. When I have problems in life, I share them with her. When she has a problem, she comes to me.”

Neither Jackson or Dupri’s reps have made statements, and Tenjune’s reps declined to comment.

“He was trying to be charming and kept saying he ‘wanted to show her around town. But Hayden soon excused herself and escaped.”

Ah, man. That must’ve stung. Jeremy probably that he had that in the bag. But, you know, her loss. Lord knows what kind of “hot spots” a drunk Jeremy Piven would take you on his version of an L.A. tour.

Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack has been hailed a hero after catching a thief who had attempted to steal a woman’s handbag.

The reality TV star was walking along London’s Marylebone High Street on Saturday when he witnessed the crime take place. He chased after the robber and wrestled him to the ground. Fellow shoppers aided the 22-year-old in pinning the assailant down while they waited for the police to arrive.

A source tells Britain’s News of the World newspaper: “He (Osbourne) ran after the mugger like a man possessed - a real hero. It happened so quickly. Whatever technique he used meant the robber couldn’t escape.”

However Osbourne insists his actions were simply reflex. He says, “I could see the girl was in trouble, it just felt like the natural thing to do. I’m glad it turned out okay.”

Hollywood tough guy Kiefer Sutherland has banned mirrors from his home - because he’s scared of them.

The 24 star admits he has a fear of the looking glass and avoids being around them. He says, “Come over to my house. You won’t find a mirror anywhere. I don’t like mirrors. They are frightening.”

Ironically, in latest movie Mirrors, Sutherland plays a department store security guard who starts seeing horrifying images in the shop’s mirrors.

Sean Penn was so excited he had experienced his first same-sex kiss with Milk co-star James Franco - he immediately texted gay icon Madonna to boast.

Penn stars alongside Franco in the forthcoming biopic of San Francisco’s first gay Mayor Harvey Milk, in which the pair play lovers. And after wrapping their first gay smooch scene, Penn wanted to tell his ex-wife Madonna about his risqué antics.

Franco tells Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, “After our kiss, Sean texted madonna and said, ‘I just popped my cherry kissing a guy. I thought of you. I don’t know why’.”

Sarcasm lovers all over the internet are flooded with excitement over rumors that Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel might be back together. The pair were spotted together in Los Angeles over the weekend – holding hands. They did their best to skitter away from the paparazzi, but everyone knows once you’re spotted by TMZ, you might as well just get married.

TMZ has video of the pair together. It appears they’re outside of a restaurant when the paparazzi attacks. They try to get into the restaurant in different directions but for some reason keep turning around. Then they cross the street (all the while followed within inches by TMZ). At no point do they stop holding hands. From their body language, it seems pretty clear they’re back together. Both were reportedly incredibly distraught by their breakup. Now they have pretty huge grins on their faces.

Their reps deny that they’re back together and say they just remain good friends. I don’t know about anyone else, but I don’t walk around like that with my good friends.

A trustee for Heath Ledger’s daughter Matilda is suing the bosses of a U.S. life insurance company for refusing to pay out on his $10 million policy - because they believe he may have committed suicide.

The Brokeback Mountain actor, 28, was found dead in his New York apartment in January.

The New York City Medical Examiner ruled he died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, but executives at ReliaStar Life Insurance Company are investigating the possibility Ledger took his own life.

The firm, which is owned by ING Americas, wrote the policy in June 2007, and the insurance money was due to be paid out to an unnamed trustee who would hold the money until two-year-old Matilda comes of age.

But they have so far failed to honor the document and have launched their own probe into Ledger’s death to establish if he committed suicide, therefore voiding the policy.

According to website TMZ.com, the trustee has now filed suit against ReliaStar Life Insurance, accusing them of acting in bad faith by not promptly paying up and by wrongfully prying into Ledger’s life months after his death.

The trustee’s attorneys further accuse ReliaStar of acting “maliciously, fraudulently and/or oppressively… depriving plaintiff of the insurance policy benefits.”

But lawyers for the company have hit back, defending their actions.

In response to the lawsuit, they say: “ReliaStar is entitled to investigate Plaintiff’s claim to determine if the ‘Suicide’ provision is applicable.” That provision states, “If the Insured commits suicide … we will pay only the amount of premiums paid to us.”

ReliaStar’s attorneys now intend to take depositions from the masseuse who found the actor dead, and Ledger’s pal Mary-Kate Olsen, who was the first person the beauty therapist called when she discovered Ledger’s body.

The insurance company is also claiming that Ledger lied on his policy application over whether he was taking any prescription drugs, which constitutes a “material misrepresentation”.

Another Super Bowl, another rock ‘n’ roll superstar at halftime. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show in Tampa, Fla., the NFL and NBC announced Sunday night.

Continuing a run of major talent that has lately included the Rolling Stones, U2, Paul McCartney, Prince and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the biggest television event in the nation will showcase one of its most beloved rock ‘n’ roll artists. The Super Bowl will be played Feb. 1 at Raymond James Stadium.

Last year’s halftime show was watched by more than 148 million viewers in the U.S., the NFL said in its release. It wasn’t always that way: For years, the game’s halftime show was made up of local and college marching bands and drill teams.

Chubby Checker in 1988 was the first popular musician to perform at halftime, and michael jackson upped the ante in 1993. His sister Janet provided the show’s most infamous moment with 2004’s “wardrobe malfunction” - and the show has stuck with straight ahead rock acts ever since.
